Microstream® capnography – non-invasive, continuous CO2 monitoring
Requiring a flow rate of only 50 cc, the Microstream® capnography system places very little load on the infant’s tidal volume. The Microstream® neonatal airway adapter adds only 0.5 cc of dead space to the circuit and can be used with or without endotracheal intubation. This continuous, accurate CO2 measurement is reliable indication of correct intubation and adequate ventilation – the need for arterial blood gas analysis is significantly reduced. It also provides additional security and peace of mind during and after the weaning process.

ANAESTHESIA MASKS
Comfortable and easy to use – Dräger disposable anaesthesia masks
Patient comfort and ease of use were the top priorities when developing the Dräger LiteStar® and ComfortStar® anaesthesia face masks. Patient comfort is supported by teardrop or round-shaped masks which provides an anatomical fit with effective seal.
Researches show that added aromas can help in minimising the potential side effect, PONV of general anaesthesia (Post Operative Nausea and Vomitting). ComfortStar® scented anaesthesia face masks have the same excellent benefits of the ComfortStar® standard masks, but in addition have added aromas.
The anaesthesia mask portfolio consist of the LiteStar® masks in sizes 1-6 for paediatric and adult applications and the ComfortStar standard and scented masks. The standard version is available in sizes 0-6 for neonate, paediatric and adult applications. The scented versions are available with strawberry or bubble gum scents in sizes 1-4, and mint scent in sizes 3-6. The appropriate colour scheme provides optical stimulation and is intended to reduce pre-operative anxiety in patients.
OXYGEN AND AEROSOL THERAPY

INFINITY® ID-ACCESSORIES
Accessories that actively cooperate Each and every Infinity ID-accessory has been designed to offer additional functionality, which – that has been demonstrated by the daily clinical routine at Zurich’s University Hospital – can help you simplify routine tasks, streamline workflow and increase safety levels.
TRANSFER OF VENTILATION SETTINGS (TVS)
Transport your patient while the circuit transports the ventilation settings – from one device to the next.
- The Primus IE stores ventilation settings and alarm limits continuously on an RFID chip inside the Infinity ID breathing circuit – from the first second on.
- Once you’re there, connect the Infinity ID breathing circuit directly with the Primus IE. The parameters stored on the chip are automatically displayed; all you have to do is confirm and ventilation continues using the same settings.
MISMATCH CONTROL
Just connect the breathing circuit. The system will help you recognise possible connection errors.
- The Primus IE recognises the connector of an Infinity ID breathing bag or Infinity ID breathing circuit.
- If a circuit is incorrectly connected, an alarm will sound, enabling you to immediately correct the error.
LOCK-IN CONTROL
As quick as a click: The anaesthesia workstation lets you know if the CLIC Absorber is not firmly connected.
- Is the Infinity ID absorber just parked in its holder on the Primus IE?
- The Primus IE recognises this problem right away. The system informs you that the absorber is in park position as soon as ventilation begins, which lets you make a firm connection quickly.
CALCULATION OF REMAINING CO2-ABSORBING CAPACITY
With the help of the absorber, the system automatically calculates the remaining capacity of the soda lime.
- As soon as ventilation begins, the Primus IE simultaneously begins to calculate the remaining CO2 absorption capacity.
- You can see the results on the self-test page of the Primus IE user interface.
- If 80% of the soda lime has been used, the system will inform you, giving you time to prepare to replace it.
EXCHANGE CONTROL
You’ll never have to worry about missing an exchange date again – our devices will remind you.
- The Infinity ID water trap from Dräger stores the date of first use on an RFID chip.
- Now you can exchange the water trap on schedule, avoiding damage to devices caused by using old water traps.
COMPATIBILITY CONTROL
You can count on it: The system automatically checks to make sure if the accessories are approved for use together.
- For example, is the Infinity ID breathing circuit certified for use with the Primus IE?
- If not, the Primus IE will inform you of this incompatibility as soon as the connection is made, easily avoiding potential hazards for patients and devices.
CONFIGURATION CONTROL
Get ready to be more efficient: The system automatically sets all parameters to correspond to those of the Infinity ID breathing circuit.
- The accessory-specific data – for example, for active humidification – is stored in the Infinity ID breathing circuit.
- When you connect the circuit to an Evita Infinity V500 ventilator, all settings are transferred automatically – no need for separate input of the ventilation settings.
